PrismSkin Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PrismSkin, an unofficial Minecraft skin library and editor for Android, handles information when you use the app and the PrismSkin community-skin service at mcshuo.com.

PrismSkin does not provide account sign-in. This Policy applies to the Android app and the app-specific policy page; the broader mcshuo.com website may have separate features and notices.

PrismSkin processes the local PNG skin files and skin-pack details that you choose in Android's system document picker. Editing, 3D preview, PNG export, and .mcpack creation are performed on your device. PrismSkin does not upload your local drafts, edits, imported files, exported PNGs, or skin packs to its servers.

When you open the community library, view a skin, import a community skin, or download one, the app requests public skin catalog data, public skin metadata, and public PNG files from https://www.mcshuo.com. Download requests also update the selected skin's aggregate download count.

When you tap Like on a community skin, the service receives the skin ID and request metadata. For an anonymous like, the server derives a guest identifier from the request IP address and stores it with the skin ID to prevent repeated likes from the same visitor. PrismSkin does not ask you to enter a name, email address, phone number, account password, advertising ID, or precise location for these features.

The app may send standard network request information, including IP address and the PrismSkin app user-agent, to mcshuo.com when you use community features. This information may be processed in server security and access logs and to operate, secure, rate-limit, and troubleshoot the service.

On your device, PrismSkin stores an unsaved editor draft, onboarding completion, page-position preferences, and an app-private cache of community catalog responses and public skin PNGs. The cache is limited in size and can be cleared from App settings; clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes app-local data.

PrismSkin requests only the Internet permission. Import and export use Android's system document picker, so the app does not request broad access to photos, videos, or device storage. It does not request contacts, camera, microphone, location, Bluetooth, nearby devices, or advertising identifiers.

PrismSkin uses HTTPS for community-service requests. It has no advertising, analytics, social-tracking, payment, or account SDKs, and it does not sell personal information or share app data with data brokers or advertisers. Public community skins are supplied by their publishers; do not import or republish protected work without permission.

You can use the editor without community features, choose not to like or download community skins, clear the in-app skin cache, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Exported files are saved only to the location you select through Android's system picker and are managed by you.

App-local drafts, preferences, and cached public content remain on your device until you clear them, clear app storage, or uninstall. Server-side request logs and anonymous-like records are retained only as needed for service operation, security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations, subject to the applicable mcshuo.com retention practices.
